The Umukabia Ogodo Autonomous Community is in the Ngor Okpala LGA, it is made up of six villages namely:
Umuobasi is the eldest of them all followed by
Umuodu
Umuokperechi
Umunakwo
Ozara 1
Ozara 2
Although the smallest town in Ngor Okpala local government, Umukabia is rich in agricultural products such as Oil palms, Cassava, Yam and others. The town celebrates its New yam festival every August and also celebrates the Nkwo Ala Market day with dances and merriment. The Nkwo Ala is regarded as the big market day while the Nkwo Nta is minor.

The display of different masquerades during such festivals is sadly no longer practiced.
Umukabia boasts of one missionary primary school called St Anne's which is of the Catholic mission, privately owned schools, and a Primary health care center.
Associations include the Umukabia Ogodo Women Co-operative Society and others.
The ruler of this great community is HRH Eze Emmanuel Eke, Okabia 1 of Umukabia Ogodo.

DeleteOne of last Thursday’s posting from an anonymous poster was talking of consequences and prejudging. Why not wait for police report or court pronouncement before casting your spill. Part of your comment is uneducated and equally unintelligent. I think Umukabia people should team up with the authorities to solve the puzzle of Agomuo's death. Unless someone has the information the world is seeking about the mysteries of the unfortunate incident. Meanwhile, ONYE OBULA TINYE MMA YA NA OBOH!
