An unidentified man believed to be in his 50s was found dead
yesterday in a nearby bush in Umukabia Ogodo Community of Ngor Okpala LGA of Imo State.
Allegedly according to an eyewitness, they followed a blood trail which
led them to the dumped corpse.
This is very shocking and weird says a resident who strongly
believes the murder was for ritual purposes while others say it must be for
organ merchants.
The Police has declared the area where the victim was found
a murder scene and therefore may proceed to make some arrests and
investigations tomorrow.
Presently, most youths have allegedly fled the village for fear of the
arrests.
I never thought this kind of crime can happen in a small and
peaceful community such as Umukabia where everyone knows his or her neighbours
but what puzzles one is why slaughter this man like a cow and dump him. Very
callous indeed!!
If this crime was committed,the culprit/s should be caught ASAP to face the full
wrath of the law
