It is a new era in Imo state as PDP's Governorship candidate in Imo state, Emeka Ihedioha is declared the winner in the governorship election!
The former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives secured 273,404 votes to defeat Uche Nwosu of the Action Alliance (AA), Senator Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Ifeanyi Ararume of APGA.
Nwosu finished second with 190,364 votes, Senator Ifeanyi Ararume, polled 114,676 followed by the All Progressives Congress candidate, Senator Hope Uzodimma, who scored 96,458 votes and the Accord Party candidate, Ikedi Ohakim secured 6,864 votes.
