IMO decides:Tensions in Imo over alleged bribing of collation officers

It has been reported in Owerri, that some local government areas have been invaded by political thugs with millions of naira to bribe the collation officers to carry out their biddings.

Some of the local government areas said to have been taken over by the political thugs were Mbaitoli, Ngor Okpala and Ohaji/Egbema

However, party leaders, youths as well as agents of other various political leaders were said to have resisted the attempt, despite the continued efforts by the political thugs to gain entry into the targeted collation centres. Collation of results has continued in the various local government areas of Imo state, with collation officers reportedly under serious fear.
