National President of the union, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, announced that the three-month-old strike has been suspended on Thursday, February 7th during a press briefing at the Nigeria Labour Congress complex in Abuja
The decision was taken after a meeting with representatives of the Federal Government led by Sen. Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour and Employment.
The leadership of the academic union have also been asked to resume today, Friday 8th February.
