A new twist has been added to the ongoing travails of the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Lamido Sanusi, as the Department of State Security Service (SSS) has accused him of financing terrorism, specifically the Islamic terror group, Boko Haram.
The disgraced former CBN Governor has a long history of terror in Nigeria and Sudan. He was one of the group that beheaded an Igbo trader, Mr Akaluka in Kano, on the accusation that his wife discreted the Koran.
Sanusi and his group used the skull of Mr Akaluka for funfare around the city of Kano before he was arrested by General Sani Abacha.

He was whisked away to Sudan, where he studied Islamic studies under some of the world notable fundamentalist scholars. He was privilaged to have been in the same institute when Osama Bin laden in Sudan for refuge.
