This is one of the most hardworking and decent man i know. H e is a rare breed indeed with so much integrity! Please find his biography after the cut.
As a seasoned lawyer, seasoned banker, and seasoned stock broker, his experience and knowledge base is just what is required for the job.
At age 17, he fought in the civil war in Ojukwu’s army and is a strong believer in the Ahiara Declaration speech that outlines the principles of Igbo land.
Academically, Okechukwu knows his stuff.
He remains the best graduating student of Banking and Finance Graduate 1978, UNN.
He remains the best masters graduating student of Banking and Finance 1986, University of Ibadan.
He also has a degree in law, and is a qualified university lecturer and stockbroker.
Can he deliver?
Remember it is not what a man has done but he is doing that will determine the outcome.
Right now, Okechukwu Unegbu is :
- Researching ways to produce over 30,000 jobs for the people of Imo State,
- Has scheduled trips to Israel to study their agricultural practises with a view of bringing down best practices to Igbo land,
- Sensitizing various markets in europe, USA and Asia, about the existence of Igbo products.
- Researching ways to stop erosion and conduct a land reclaiming exercise.
- In full support of the local governments and the challenges they face.
- Re-incorporating the long forgotten age grade system into meaningful use for regulating youths and development.
