Chinua Achebe who was born Albert Chínụ̀álụmọ̀gụ̀ Àchèbé on 16 November 1930 died last night at a Boston hospital after battling an illness. He was 82 years old.
He wrote the critical acclaimed novel THINGS FALL APART in 1958 , the popular children's book called CHIKE AND THE RIVER in 1964 and many other books including poems.
He will be greatly missed!
