A military helicopter owned by the Nigerian Navy carrying the former National Security Adviser General Owoeye Azazi and Kaduna State governor, Patrick Yakowa along with four others crashed this afternoon at 3pm in the creeks of Bayelsa State.
The diginitaries were said to have attended attended the burial of the father of the Special Adviser to President Jonathan, Oronto Douglas in Bayelsa this afternoon. Several politicians attended the event, helicopters and boats were hired for transportation.
The helicopter crashed around the swampy Okoroba Community of Nembe Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
The President has ordered an investigation.
